LSZ's computer systems consist of PC operator stations located at the
papermachine reel, winder and any intermediate process stations such as supercalenders,
coaters and rewinders. These PC operator stations are linked to a common data collection
and management server. This data server receives process state, roll or reel diameter and
analog signals from PLCs connected to tachometers, system state relays, pressure, vibration
and displacement transducers. The data is stored in MS Sql Server or Oracle databases from
which preexisting or customized reports are generated. Our database is open to accept and
store information collected either by LSZ or 3rd party systems. RFID spool tracking allows
this data to be passed downstream to LSZ operator stations, roll tracking or mill wide information
systems.
